Norwegian Snowflake Hat, Pattern Free

Norwegian Snowflake Hat

This hat was truly a dream to work up.
I used Lion Brand’s Feels like Butta yarn and LOVED knitting Up These hats. They're comfy and cozy and inspired by a hat I wear in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp! There are many sizes and can be made for any Pocket Camp lover.

Supplies,
·         US Size 8 needles circular or DPNS, I used 16 in for both   
·         Bulk 4 yarn in two colors
             I used, Lion Brands Feels like Butta, In White and Royal blue.
·         Darning needle,

·         Scissors,

      Gauge:  7 stitches, by 8 rows = 2"

Notes: Make sure to carry yarn and knit the colorwork not too tight!




 Pattern

Cast on 117, 130 st in a stretchy cast on of your choice

Ribbing/body

K1, P1* for 7-10 rounds

Knit three rounds (All sizes)

Color Work Chart,



Knit till hat reaches 2-4 inches shorter than the desired length.

 

Decreases, these will all be worked in knits,

K8 K2tog, * Across row

K7, K2tog, * Across row

K6, K2tog, * Across row

Knit 5 k2tog, * Across row.

 

Finishing:

 Cut leaving a long tail, and take a threaded tapestry, or Darning needle in the same color as you ended on to sew up the hole. Start by leaving a tail to pull to make the hole close, slowly take the loops off the needle and pull Tight, secure the ends firmly, weave in the ends, and trim as needed. You could even add a pom-pom if you like.
