Yarn 

5.5 mm or I crochet hook

g or 4.25 crochet hook

Notes:
The First chain of the round counts as a stitch,
I.E, Chain 2 2 DC, you would count 3 Dc
Colors, A Blue B Grey Striped C White D Black E cream
Pattern stitches
When you reach a corner, you will work one of these stitches.
Corner Stitch:

3 DC worked in the space below, chain 3 in the same space, work another 3 DC.

Square Pattern

(this can be worked in a solid or a color work style pattern. if color work is chosen change color every round.)

Chain 5 in color a, join in the round, Chain 3 (this counts as a stitch) work 2DC, Chain 3, Work 3 DC, chain 3 for a total of 4 times. 4 Clusters

Round 2. Chain 3, 2 DC, (into the chain space below) Chain 3, in the same hole work another 3 DC, Chain 2* Across the whole row.  8 Clusters (3 DC per cluster)

Round 3. Chain 3, 2 DC, chain 2, 3 DC, Chain 2 3Dc chain 3 work another 3 Dc in the same space* across the whole round.  12 Clusters, (3 DC per cluster)

Round 4. Chain 3, 2DC. Chain 2 Work a corner turn, chain 2, 3 DC * for 16 clusters (3 DC per cluster

Continue making squares till you have reached:

Baby	35”x35”	49	7 squares by 7 squares
Toddler	40”x40”	64	8 squares by 8 squares
Lapghan	50”x50”	100	10 squares BY 10 squares
Throw	60”x60”	144	12 squares by 12 squares
